A mid-century fabulous Art Deco Ciner with matching lipstick. More compacts.
Ciner were known for the quality of their costume jewellery worn by stars such as Elizabeth Taylor. They also made gorgeous powder compacts. This is a wonderful and typical example of the quality & style that epitomized the Ciner brand. The lid is smooth gold tone with Art Deco motifs in high relief. Depressing the thumb catch activates a spring loaded catch. The powder well lid is signed "Ciner". The mirror gives a good reflection, as you will be able to see from images three & four but has a few age related marks. The powder well contains the original sifter signed "Ciner". Like the rest of the item it is in very good condition. The base is brushed gold tone with delightful patina. All clasps & hinges work well.

The lipstick is signed "Ciner" on the base. It still works & there is some crimson lipstick
left. On the top of the lipstick is an Art Deco motif in high relief. The case works well - just rises a little when retracting the lipstick down. It is in very good condition.
